This statement explains how Ingenex Pty Ltd (ABN 65 689 551 924) collects, uses and stores personal information. It follows the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Ingenex is a one-person practice. When you deal with Ingenex, you are dealing with Chean Loke.
Nothing. There is no form on this site, no sign-up, and no advertising or tracking cookie. Visits are counted in aggregate by the host so I can tell whether anyone is reading it. That count is not tied to you.
Bookings run on Google Calendar. You provide your name, your email address, your company website, and a short description of the problem you would like to work on.
That information is used to meet you, prepare for the conversation, and follow up afterwards. It sits in my Google Workspace account. It does not go to a mailing list, a CRM, or any third party.
Before a booked call I may read your organisation's publicly available website and material to understand what you do. I use my own tooling to summarise it.
This is limited to information already published to the world. I do not attempt to access anything gated, private or personal, and I respect robots.txt. If a prospective client does not become a client, that summary is deleted.
This is the part that matters most, and it is deliberately narrow.
The only records I keep are the ordinary ones a business must: who I worked with, when, what was agreed, and what was invoiced.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen or stored by Ingenex. Stripe provides me with your name, business name, email address and the amount paid, so that I can issue a tax invoice.
Engagement and billing records are kept for seven years, as Australian tax law requires. Everything else is kept only as long as it is useful, then deleted.
I do not sell personal information and I do not share it for marketing. The only parties that touch it are the services I use to run the business — Google Workspace for mail and calendar, Stripe for payments, Vercel for this website — and my accountant or a legal adviser where genuinely necessary, or where the law requires it.
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email info@ingenex.net.au and I will confirm within five business days and tell you when it is done.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If this statement changes materially, the updated version will be published here with a new effective date.
